Are you accepting guests during The Pandemic?

Yes, we are currently operational during The COVID-19 Pandemic. We are adhering to the published Michigan State COVID-19 Mandates and Recommendations. Please see the COVID-19 page for complete information.



Is The Loft currently available?

No, unfortunately. Due to COVID-19 protection measures, we are not currently offering The Loft for rental. We are sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience.



Do you have a pool?

Yes, we have an outdoor 30' x 70' unheated pool. It is open daily 10 AM-9 PM. Please bring your own beach towels. There are clotheslines on the screened-in porch to hang wet clothes/towels. Pool access begins at 4 pm the day you check-in, and ends at 11 am the day you check out. Please park at your cottage and walk to the pool.



How far away are you from the beach?

We are a mile and a half inland; about a 7-minute drive to the closest beach: Pier Cove and West Side County Park. Map Location



Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately, we do not allow them at this time. There are no exceptions.



Is smoking permitted in the cottages?

There is no smoking in the cottages or in the screened-in porches.



I have rented a cottage. May I have day guests?

We do not allow extra guests. For example: if you have rented a cottage which sleeps 4, any additional numbers are not permitted unless previously arranged with us. We live on the property and we do monitor.



What is required to rent a cottage?

A deposit is required to rent a cottage. The deposit is accepted over the phone by credit card, or by check, before 30 days of arrival. There is a limit of two separate credit cards per reservation. We send out a rental agreement via email that must be signed and return submitted before arrival.

* Once you have submitted your credit card information and the charges have been applied, you accept our Cancellation Policy (listed below).



What is required for a deposit?

If your Check-In Date is more than 30 days in the future, a one-half deposit is required.

If your Check-in Date is less than 30 days in the future, a full deposit is required.

The remaining half of your deposit is due one week before your arrival. Please let us know if you are planning on arriving after 6 PM for your check-in.



What is the Cancellation Policy?

If the Guest wishes to cancel a reservation, the paid deposit will be refunded as follows:

100% of deposit (minus 4% for processing), if canceled 90 days before the Check-in Date (12:00 PM ET)



What time is Check-In and Check-Out?

Check-In is at 4 PM. No early arrivals to the property, please. Usually, the day we have Guests checking out, we have new Guests checking in. Therefore, we need time to get all of the cottages ready.

(Check-In may be 5 PM due to high-demand for cottages and cleaning purposes. We will inform you of this caveat beforehand).

Check-Out is at 11 AM at the latest. Once again, the day we have Guests checking out, we usually have new Guests checking in. We need all available time to get cottages cleaned and ready.



Do you require Saturday to Saturday stays?

We do not do check-in / check-out on Saturdays. Saturdays are very busy days for our cleaning crew.



What do I need to bring with me?

All you need to bring is your pillows, blankets, clothes, food, beach towels, and toiletries.

Bath towels, sheets, and linens are provided. We also supply start-up toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and liquid hand soap.

Be sure to review the Accommodations page for a comprehensive listing of items provided in each cottage, as well as a list of recommended items for you to pack and bring for your stay.



Do you change sheets and towels during our stay?

We typically do not. However, the service is offered for an additional fee. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide this service currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions.



Where do we park?

Each cottage accommodates parking for two passenger vehicles adjacent to the front entrance. Please park each automobile in the designated concrete parking spots and not on the blacktop. If you are planning to have an additional third car or a trailer, please let us know. We will work with you to have it accommodated.




Please Also Note:

* In the past, we have experienced renters abuse the sleep numbers / maximum occupancy. Due to this fact, we will exercise our right to immediately terminating your contract if the number of guests is exceeded at any point during your stay.

** We do our best to accommodate people by not requiring a week-long stay. This allowance creates unusual time slots that need to be filled. Time slots that remain may require more than a 4-night minimum. Also, we do not wish to have unnecessary vacancies between reservations that would not otherwise be secured. Thank you for your understanding.
